Spoilers up to ACOSF ahead
1. Rhys betting on Feyre during Amarantha’s trials
Rhys placed his bet on Feyre out-maneuvering Amarantha— not out of arrogance, or even blind hope but genuine and quiet confidence. He saw Feyre as strong and capable before she even acknowledged it about herself
2. Sending music to the cell
Rhys did everything he was capable of to rescue, or even just HELP Feyre, meanwhile, Tamlin did nothing but twidle his thumbs, wait for a miracle, and cry. Completely useless
3. Rhys saves Feyre from her wedding
The moment Rhys crashed Feyre’s wedding after hearing her internal panic gave everyone a chance to breathe out. And his choice wasn’t to control her- but to remind her that she had a choice
4. Feyre accepting her true self
The thing that makes Feyre’s journey beautiful in ACOTAR isn’t only her epic love story with Rhys- but also the love affair she discovers with herself. She starts out as a suffering poor girl in rough circumstances, abused and overlooked by those she loves and lowkey wanting to be saved. By the end of the series she’s become confident and certain of her power and strength.

5. “And then I felt you die”
Chapter 54 of ACOMAF was unforgettable. Enough said

6. The secret wedding
A shocking, but not so shocking surprise. So intimate, even us readers weren’t in on it

7. “Whatever you need to throw at me, I can take it. I won’t break.”
Cassian always saw and accepted Nesta for exactly who she was. Raging c*nt or not, he never shied away. His rock hard exterior was probably the only thing that was a suitable match for her, truly. Their arc isn’t about grand gestures; it’s about the slow, brutal work of learning to let someone in. Cassian never tried to fix her. He just stayed, steady and unflinching, until she was ready to meet him halfway.

8. Nesta accepts Cassian as her mate
This one was a long time coming, but hey, not everyone is so great with vulnerability. Honestly their love story is beautiful. Not as dramatically romantic as Feyre and Rhysand but real, raw, and genuine.

“Nesta had loved Cassian since she’d first laid eyes on him. Had loved him even when she did not want to, even when she had been swallowed by despair and fear and hatred. Had loved him and destroyed herself because she didn’t believe she deserved him, because he was all that was good, and brave, and kind, and she loved him, she loved him, she loved him”

9. Cassian allowing Nesta to save herself in the Blood Rite
Cassian knew when to fight beside Nesta and when to step back. Not running to rescue her- letting her rise, and more importantly, knowing she COULD, was an act of devotion and admiration
