Andy Weir’s Project Hail Mary – Worth the Read? Spoiler Free

The short answer to this is yes- absolutely.

This book was an awesome sci-fi one shot with some shocking twist and turns. It’s an easy read if you’re new to science fiction, although it does get a bit math-packed in some moments. Which could be great, if you’re into the science of space travel and molecular biology. I am not a math enthusiast, but I was still able to enjoy this book thoroughly and am so so happy I read it. The circumstances are bleak- Earth is facing annihilation. It’s a unique take on the extraterrestrial, and I think one of the more realistic and believable that I’ve read. There’s moments of utter despair alongside moments of quiet pleasure and hope. If you’re a fan of other works by Weir like The Martian,

this one measures up- highly recommend.
